Tapi aku lelaki gunung, VENUS…. Sering merenung di taman yang dirubung ilalang dan rerumputan… Di gunung aku telah tumbuh seperti burung yang menciptakan sarang kebebasan dari dahan dan daun – daun. Berkicau setiap melihat kesetiaan matahari pada pagi, saat muncul dari balik rerimbun pohon – pohon yang telah ditumbuhi kabut.
Dengan bahasa lelaki, aku mengepakkan sayap – sayap kecilku di sepanjang lereng yang gersang. Sebab langit senja selalu melukisnya dengan cahayanya yang jingga. Maka aku pun menjadi lelaki petualang yang sering singgah dari kampung ke kampung, dari kota ke kota, dari pulau ke pulau. Sampai suatu ketika aku merindukan persinggahan terakhir di rembang usia.”
